首次在某Blogger文章中接觸Russian Red，那首歌名是《The sun the trees》，這首歌在我最悲傷的歲月裡，帶我走進奇異的幻想世界。在旅程中不斷重覆的歌詞「The sun, the trees, the moon, the sea」，然後抬頭來看眼前風景，日月星辰，樹影交錯，海天一色，豁然開朗。
Russian Red《Fuerteventura》幻想小島生活
最近聽Russian Red第二張專輯裡的《Fuerteventura》，同樣是古怪獨特的風格，但這首歌更為輕快活潑，歌名Fuerteventura（富埃特文圖拉島）是個西班牙的度假小島，難怪聽著好像在過著陽光海灘的生活。
Russian Red是一位西班牙獨立音樂和民歌唱作人歌手Lourdes Hernández的藝名，Lourdes十六歲開始創作音樂，升上大學讀法律後一年，便決定退學，後來轉讀翻譯及傳意系。她的作品均使用英語，作品風格簡約、帶點稚氣和詩意。「Russian Red」這個藝名源自一位女孩唇膏的顏色，因為Lourdes希望藝名帶點藝術氣質。
《Fuerteventura》中的大部分歌曲，是Russian Red首張專輯發行後，於2年的巡迴演出期間所寫，歌曲反映她在不同地方及時間的心情，隨著她沐浴在陽光與海灘，在西班牙小島上幻想過不同的生活，這種對異想世界的熱情盡顯在時而輕快高唱、時而陶醉底吟的曲風裡，整張專輯揉合復古與現代風格，既跳脫且愜意。
度假聖地 海岸火山聞名
Fuerteventura西班牙語意為「強大的財富」，全年氣溫怡人，介乎18至32度，以白沙長海岸及黑色火山礫石聞名。雖然是西班牙屬土，但在摩洛哥旁邊，近西撒哈拉沙漠，位於非洲海域，是加納利群島第二大島，亦是火山島，官方語言為西班牙文，但通用語言為德文及英文，因為曾被德國佔領。
遊客可在西班牙或歐洲其他城市前往Fuerteventura，當地機場為El Matorral（FUE），Fuerteventura雖主打旅遊，但在亞洲地區較少人知。
聽完Russian Red的《Fuerteventura》，不禁對小島充滿奇想，看了這個小島的照片，便會明白Russian Red為甚麼要幻想留在這裡生活。
